The Parkins Music Endowment is established by alumna Janet C. Parkins to provide enriched support for music collections at the UCSC Library.  Endowment income will be spent, at the discretion of the Music Bibliographer, to acquire library materials that will lend depth, character, and distinction to the music collection and enhance the library’s ability to provide outstanding service to students, faculty, and community members.  Music materials may be acquired in any format, including but not limited to books and journals, audio and video recordings, scores and digital and web-based materials.  Materials may pertain to any area of music, including but not limited to classical, ethnic, folk, popular, and world music, and jazz.
