This subject endowment was established in the name of UCSC alumna Gail McGovern, a consistent supporter of the UCSC library and a 1974 graduate of Stevenson College with a B.A. in Mathematics. The Gail E. McGovern Mathematics Collection Endowment is established as an endowment to provide enriched support for UCSC library collections in mathematics. The endowment income is used to purchase books, reference sets, CDs, subscriptions to journals and series, and provides expanded access to electronic resources. It will also target subjects of special campus interest to enhance the depth, character and distinction of the collection.
