FLF's
debut community event featured seven bluegrass bands organized
by Brookdale Bluegrass's Eric Burman, a dedicated member
of FLF. Homefire headed the bill, and the evening featured
a silent auction and raffle organized by Elica Burton,
an art contest (which resulted in FLF's notecards), an
exhibit on the history of Felton and its library (prepared
by Lorraine Sintetos), and fine refreshments. The evening
brought over $2000 towards FLF's activities, and raised
community awareness of the value of its branch
library.
