Lectures on Differential Geometry by S. S. Chern, W. Chen and K. Lam

It was S.S. Chern whose achievements in global differential geometry that inspired and lead me to the field of global geometry and mathematical physics. I had a chinese version of this book when I was a undergraduate student at Peking University in 1980's. It is still the textbook I like to use to teach global differential geometry. It gives a spectacular view of the global geometry as well as practical skills of calculations. I had no hesitation in choosing this book, as it is a special one to me.
