Viktor Ginsburg

Viktor Ginzburg, Professor, Mathematics

The first edition of this little book appeared almost forty years ago, and yet the book still stands out as a beautiful introduction to differential topology. The book is not comprehensive, but an introduction can hardly be such. What the book has to offer instead is a tasteful choice of material and clarity, and precision of thought and exposition. When I write math I try to keep this book in mind as an example.
