The Foundation Trilogy, by Isaac Asimov

I am a voracious reader and it would be impossible for me to select a single book that has special meaning for me as there are so many that hold that distinction. However, as a child I was a great reader of science fiction which instilled in me a lifelong fascination with and love for science, literature, and discovery. Isaac Asimov was my favorite author and The Foundation Trilogy, which received the Hugo Award for "Best All-Time Series" in 1965 (the year I was born), is a particularly fine example of the genre.
