Selected: The
Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Thomas Kuhn
I
first read this book as part of an undergraduate class on the history
of science. The notions of "normal science" and "scientific
revolutions" described in the book have shaped my thinking
on the way research progresses and how fundamental shifts in thinking
come about. By drawing this distinction, the book challenged me
to participate in revolutionary research and not just limit myself
to small advances in existing computer science research.
