There
is an old Chinese saying: "The beauty of the universe lies
in its elegance and simplicity". When I was reading this book
as an undergraduate student, I experienced a sense of that beauty.
Many things in this book are discussed in terms of the first principles
which are truly elegant and simple. This is part of the reason why
I went to Caltech to pursue my Ph.D. in Physics.|
