Mr. Wolff came to this country from Germany in 1911, and for the past forty-five years has been a stockbroker in San Francisco. In the years between 1911 and 1926, however, he held a variety of jobs, one of which was as a timekeeper for the Cowell Company's Santa Cruz ranch. Mr. Wolff was able to give us a good description of the ranch at that time. He also comments on S.H. Cowell and some of the Cowell Company's employees.
