Visiting Dead Central
Artifacts from the permanent collection and themed exhibits featuring selected works are displayed in the Brittingham Family Foundation's Dead Central, UCSC’s exhibition site for the Grateful Dead Archive.
Please note: Dead Central will be closed beginning May 1st, 2017 while a new exhibit is being installed. We look forward to showcasing a new exhibit at the beginning of June.

Access to the Grateful Dead Archive for research and study is made available through the University Library’s Special Collections & Archives department.
Conditions for use of the Archive follow those for all other archival collections. Material does not circulate but is available for use in the department’s Reading Room. Please see the Special Collections’ policies and conditions of use.
The Grateful Dead Archive is described in the Library’s local catalog Cruzcat, and the electronic finding aids are available through the Online Archive of California Advance notice is required for use of some material.
