The entrance to McHenry Library has a new look. The old turnstiles have been removed and electronic-sensor gates have been installed.

The new Perk Espresso Cart in the McHenry Library foyer opened on May 2nd. It offers various espresso drinks, sandwiches (including vegetarian), salads, organic juices, sodas, and various snacks.
The espresso machine is self-serve, and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can pay using bills ($1, $2, and $5) or coins. Flexi card and credit/ATM card capability is in the works.
The cart will be staffed from 11am-1pm, Monday through Friday, to sell the sandwiches, juices, sodas, and other snacks. Cash payment is accepted, and Flexi card and credit/ATM card capability is coming soon.

On Thursday, April 27th, drilling began along the south wall of McHenry Library to install tie-backs that will eventually connect the addition to the existing structure. Because they have to core drill into the columns and foundation, there will be some noise and vibration in the library. This work will continue for the next few weeks. The drilling usually stops by 4:30pm for the day.
