at UCSC GIS Data Remote Sensing
Hardware & Software available for GIS use in the Map Room
The Map Room has two PC workstations with geographic information
system (GIS) software and a scanner available for use with Map Room
or Internet materials.
Workstations:
1. ArcGIS 8.2; Windows 2000; UMAX Scanner; Zip drive/CD-ROM burner
2. ArcGIS 8.2 and ArcView 3.2; Windows XP; Zip drive/CD-ROM player.
The Map Room has several ArcGIS and ArcView manuals available for
reference use, but offers no technical support. We have many CD-ROMs
for use in a geographic information system. Below you will find
links to begin searching for geographic information system and remote
sensing resources.
