Cataloger, part-time: private map library, San Francisco

Map cataloger needed to work in an innovative, creative private map library in San Francisco. You will work on the library catalog for our online Web site, which features one of the largest private map libraries in the United States.

Hours: 20-30 hours per week; set your own hours.
Pay: $30-$35/per hour (independent contractor status, no benefits)

Responsibilities:

Original map cataloging using FileMaker Pro
Creating MARC records in OCLC for online map (and other) images
Some help with maintaining the Web site and developing projects designed to promote
and increase usage of the online map collection

Qualifications:

Familiarity with standard cataloging procedures
Knowledge of MARC and AACR2 desired
Map cataloging experience helpful but not required as training will be provided
Ability to work independently necessary.
