David Deckelbaum retires from UCLA

At the end of June, David Deckelbaum retired from UCLA after about 30 years of working in the library.

David was president of WAML from 2000-01, and recently chaired the Publications Committee.

David and his wife Emily Schiller have moved to Bellingham WA, so if he misses maps too much he can always go volunteer with Janet ! It's far more likely, however, that he'll be reading, travelling, and arranging flowers in his new-found spare time.

We'll miss seeing David (and Emily sometimes) at our meetings and wish them much happiness.
