Congratulations, Julie!
Julie Sweetkind-Singer, Head of the Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Library, has been accepted into the
Frye Leadership Institute. The Frye Institute's mission is to help develop leaders
who will transform academic information services for higher education in the twenty-first century.
This highly competitive program involves a two week residential program at Emory University this June
and a year-long practicum related to issues at the participant's home institution.
Julie's practicum will center around the integration of GIS and social science data for easier
access and use by faculty, students and researchers.
Julie put her leadership skills to very good use as President of WAML from 2004-05.
