GEOREF - The major database for materials in geology and geophysics, in particular: energy sources, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, the structure of the earth, and geostatistics. Select Advanced Search to get more search boxes to fill in.

  • GOOGLE - U.S. Govt. Search This searches government web sites only
  • GOOGLE - Advanced Search Use the Domain feature to search for specific web sites such as .edu for educational sites
  • Science.gov - Earth & Ocean Sciences- a gateway to authoritative selected science information provided by U.S. Government agencies, including research and development results
  • CRUZCAT to find reports, books, maps, and journals at UCSC
  • MELVYL to find material at other UC's. Use the "Request" button to borrow material on interlibrary loan if it's not at UCSC
