LAUC/SC Executive Board Meeting

ANNOUNCEMENTS

-Welcome to new officers and review of LAUC handbook of officer duties.
Ann Hubble, LAUC/SC Chair Elect; Fred Yuengling, General Committee
Chair; Kathryn Blackmer Reyes, Secretary; and Susan Chesley, LAUC/SC Chair.

-With two officers at Science Library, Board meetings will be held at
both libraries.  Next meeting will be at Science Library.

-Ann Hubble will now be in charge of the LAUC laptop.  Librarians
interested in checking it out will now have to contact her.
 

REPORT FROM CHAIR

-Fall Assembly, November 18-19, 1999.
Plans are being made and committees are forming.  Volunteers are still
being sought to help.  In particular, Librarians are needed to drive
delegates to and from the SJ airport, and 1 or 2 people are needed to
contact the caterer and plan for the assembly lunch on Friday, Nov. 19th.

-Brief update on Librarian series discussion.
 

CAPA REPORT - No report made
 

GENERAL COMMITTEE REPORT
-Database Advisor (DBA) campus visit, October 8th.  LAUC/SC could provide
refreshments.

- Dean David Kliger, Nature Sciences Div.  Will be contacting the Dean
for possible presentation regarding the Division.  Will try for a date in
early November.

R&PD COMMITTEE REPORT - None.
