LAUC will sponsor four to six travel awards for recent LAUC members (5 years or less) to attend the LAUC Assembly on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at UC Santa Cruz Extension Silicon Valley, in Santa Clara. In addition to the business portion of the Assembly the agenda will include a General Membership Meeting with presentations, panel discussions, and conversations with colleagues continuing to focus on this year’s theme, “LAUC and Future Librarianship”.
I especially encourage newer LAUC members to apply for an award to attend the Assembly. At least two awards will be funded among the five southern campuses, and at least two from among the five northern campuses. Awards include the following support:
