Submit Your Photos

Introduction

If your pictures are chosen, a thumbnail will appear on the Library's homepage, along with your name. In one click, people will be able to view the full-size image along with details about the photographer and the image.

Who Can Submit?

Anyone can send in photos, but we are especially interested in the work of serious photographers.

What Can I Submit?

Photos of the campus and the immediate area. These images can include people as long as the image is taken in a public place. No more than five images per photographer. The files should be in jpeg format and no more than 1 MB in size. Filenames should be your surname and the number of the photo. Example: haywood_01.jpg.

How do I Submit?

Simply email your photos to photoblog@library.ucsc.edu along with the following information:

  1. A brief description of each image. Example: haywood_01.jpg: A shot of the bike path overlooking the bay.
  2. Your full name.
  3. Your campus affiliation (if applicable).
  4. In order for us to use the image you must also include the following sentence in the body of your email: I agree to allow the UCSC University Library to use the attached image(s) in support of its current and future educational and promotional goals.
