Compendex |
In Compendex:
- Select records
- Click Download
- Select RIS, EndNote, ProCite, Reference Manager
- Click Download
- Select Save and click OK
In EndNote Web:
- Open your EndNote Web library.
- Select the Collect tab, Import References.
- Use the Browse button to select the file you saved above. Click Open.
- Under Filter click on the drop-down list and select Ei Compendex (Ei)
- Select a group/folder to put the records in. Click Import.

Faculty of 1000 |
In F1000 Biology:
1. Mark references.
2. Click the Export button near top of page. Choose Send to EndNote.
3. Save the file to your computer.
In EndNote Web:
1. Open your EndNote Web library.
2. Select the Collect tab, Import References.
3. Use the Browse button to select the file you saved above. Click Open.
4. Under Import Option click on the drop-down list and select Faculty of 1000.
5. Select a group/folder to put the records in. Click Import.

GeoRef |
In GeoRef:
- Mark references.
- Click Save/Print/Email link.
- Choose Full format - no references.
- Click Save. Then, click Save to disk. The file should be saved as a Text File (*.txt).
In EndNote Web:
- Open your EndNote Web library.
- Select the Collect tab, Import References.
- Use the Browse button to select the .txt file you saved above. Click Open.
- Select the GeoRef (CSA) import filter. (Or click Customize this list to add the GeoRef (CSA) filter.
- Click the Import button.

Google Scholar |
In Google Scholar:
- Click on the Scholar Preferences link.
- Under Bibliography Manager select the option Show links to import citations into and choose EndNote in the drop down box.
- Click on the Save Preferences button.
- After performing a search on Google Scholar click on the Import into EndNote link for the reference you want to import.
- When you are presented with a window asking if you want to "Open" or "Save" the file, choose to save the file. Each reference is saved as a separate file.
In EndNote Web:
- Open your EndNote Web library.
- Select the Collect tab, Import References.
- Use the Browse button to select the file you saved above. Click Open.
- Under Filter click on the drop-down list and select EndNote Import.
- Select a group/folder to put the records in. Click Import.

IEEE Xplore |
In IEEE Xplore:
- Select records
- Click Download Citations
- Select if you want the citation only or citation & abstract
- Select EndNote, ProCite, RefMan
- Click Download Citation
In EndNote Web:
- Open your EndNoteWeb library
- Select the Collect tab, Import References.
- Click on the Browse button to select the file you saved above. Click Open.
- Click on the drop-down menu labelled Filter and select RefMan RIS.
- Click on the drop-down menu labelled To and select the group you want to send your refernces to.
- Click on the Import button.

PubMed |
In PubMed:
- Mark references you want to import.
- Under Send To (top of page on right) select File from the pull-down menu, then choose Format MEDLINE.
- Save the pubmed_result.txt file to your computer.
In EndNote Web:
- Open your EndNote Web library.
- Select the Collect tab, Import References.
- Use the Browse button to select the .txt file you saved above. Click Open.
- Select the Pubmed (NLM) import filter.
- Click the Import button.

SciFinder Scholar |
In SciFinder Scholar:
- Select records.
- Click Export.
- Click the box to choose Selected records.
- Select tagged format (*.txt).
- Click Export.
- Select Save and click OK.
In EndNote Web:
- Open your EndNote Web library.
- Select the Collect tab, Import References.
- Use the Browse button to select the file you saved above.
- Under Import Option click on the drop-down list and select SciFinder (CAS).
- Select a group/folder to put the records in. Click Import.
