Ways to Make a Difference

The University Library is a complex system.   Its buildings house librarians, archivists, and many other specialists from building engineers to financial analysts whose good brains and skills create and maintain an environment for learning.  Its collections, in all formats, enrich and support the learning experience of thousands of individuals, from community members and undergraduates to world-reknowned scholars. 

Over the ten years between 2001 and 2011 people like you have given amost $29 million to the UCSC University Library.  You make a difference. 

There are two membership organization that support the University Library: Friends of the Library and Library Circle of Advocates.  Members of these groups support the library via their dollars and by inviting others to join them.
