When you become a Community Borrower you support the University Library and help to enhance its collections and services. In addition, you receive library borrowing privileges and other benefits, including access to the ProQuest Research Library article database service.

Your ProQuest access code and instructions will be sent to you via email in the next 5-7 business days. Library cards are issued at the McHenry or Science & Engineering Library Circulation Desks upon presentation of a picture ID with a current address and matching utility or other household billed item with the same address.

Land Acknowledgement

The land on which we gather is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.

The land acknowledgement used at UC Santa Cruz was developed in partnership with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Chairman and the Amah Mutsun Relearning Program at the UCSC Arboretum.
