Migrant Agricultural History Archive (MAHA)

The UCSC campus has a long-standing commitment to research, documentation, and preservation of the agricultural history of the central California coast, including both social and economic aspects, and focusing on the diverse contributions of growers, processors, shippers and agricultural laborers. In concurrence with this effort the University Library, assisted by members of the Pajaro valley community, has built the Florence Richardson Wyckoff Collection. The collection documents the health and welfare of the children of migrant agricultural laborers. The materials included supplement and advance research and instructional programs in agroecology, applied economics and sociology, and community, environmental and Latin American/Latino studies.
