Encyclopedias, handbooks, bibliographies and area study guides are a good place to start when you know little about a topic, when you need an overview of a subject, or when you want a quick summary of basic ideas.

Records cover approximately 1864-71 and document names and relationships of those who used the bank. Although the records contain limited genealogical information, they are a valuable source of family history information for those with African-American ancestry. This compact disc contains approximately 480,000 names.
