Journal Indexes and Abstracting Services

The Melvyl®/CDL Catalog does not index journals.   Cruzcat  and CDL/Periodicals indexes journals at the title-level but not the contents of individual journals.  To locate  journal articles use a periodical index and/or abstracting service.  Most topics may be successfully researched in general indexes such as Expanded Academic ASAP aka CDL Article Databases   or the Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature .  More specific topics may require the use of  specialized subject indexes (print or electronic), some of which also contain abstracts or text of the articles.
