The true delineation of the lives of the members of the Hihn and the Younger families — as well as their associates — both women and men — are found in many sources, and take many forms. To chronicle their stories takes many years to assemble — their stories weave in and out of the lives of each other, and are told by many voices.

The list of biographies will grow as our research progresses, not necessarily in chronological order, but comprehensive, ultimately, so that readers and researchers can understand the interaction between them — with an emphasis on the human portrait, and the events that shaped their lives.
